Tai Hang
Above Causeway Bay and Happy Valley and lying beneath Jardine’s Lookout, is the residential district of Tai Hang taking its namesake from the “big stream” that formerly ran down the hillside.
Tai Hang is divided into upper and lower areas. Upper Tai Hang includes the public housing estate, Lai Tak Tsuen and also some large high rise blocks preferred by Hong Kong’s local affluents. The lower part of Tai Hang has many older residential blocks, and in the recent past, has developed into quite the funky area with indie coffee shops, plethora of both local and international cuisine, and design led shops.
