Causeway Bay
Causeway Bay is at the center of Hong Kong’s image as a shopping mecca anchored by Times Square and Sogo Department Store.
Named after the cove on which it now sits atop, it is home to the some of the highest retail rents in the world encouraging local designers, boutiques and small restaurants to explore hidden locations away from expensive ground floor shop fronts. More than just a shopper’s paradise, Causeway Bay is an enclave of modernity contrasted with the local culture.
Residential living typically consists of apartment blocks near Victoria Park, one of Hong Kong’s largest urban parks with multiple recreational features. There are also older walkups and mid rises scattered amongst the busy retail areas. The Cross Harbour Tunnel to Kowloon is close by and there are an abundance of buses, minibuses, and the MTR connecting to all areas of Hong Kong.
